Dublin Ferryport Terminals (DFT) is Irelands market leading Lo/Lo container terminal operating from a leasehold facility covering over 34 acres.

The facilities comprise 480 metres of berths for container ships, with a depth of 9 to 11 metres and is equipped with 3 modern Liebherr gantry cranes (40 tonne capacity) and 10 rubber-tyred gantries (40 tonne capacity) on a strategically located site within three kilometres of Dublin city centre and within one kilometre of the Dublin Port Tunnel, providing direct access to Ireland’s motorway network.

The 10 rubber-tyred gantries include the recent addition of four Kalmar electric, remote controlled semi -automated rubber-tyred gantries (RTG’s) incorporating latest technologies. Over the next 18 months DFT will commission a further 5 of these RTG’s to further enhance the throughput of DFT and at the same time deploying environmentally friendly handling equipment. DFT is also operating a fleet of Tugsmaster and trailers, empty containers handlers and reach stackers.
